Connections Reform – Ofgem final decision
Ofgem has now made its final decision to approve Connections Reform proposals and direct implementation of a new connections process. This is a significant step in making the necessary changes required to the electricity connection arrangements in Great Britain, crucial for achieving the government’s Clean Power by 2030 (CP2030) goals.
The decision triggers a mandatory licence standstill (a legal requirement when making changes to our licences) after which the formal process of assessing all existing offers against the new criteria starts. NESO will invite customers to submit progression and strategic alignment evidence to them for assessment within an evidence submission window.
- Further information on how and when to submit your readiness declaration can be found on the NESO website: Preparing to submit evidence: Readiness declaration | National Energy System Operator
- Detail of Ofgem’s decision on the Connections Reform package can be found here: Decision on Connections Reform Package (TM04+) | Ofgem
Important note: Please bear with us while we work on updating our Connections pages to reflect the new connections process.
